ABOUT US

The Female Fotographers is a group of women from across the globe, joining together to share their work, passion, news and opportunities. The goal is to create a network of women to support each other in our photographic pursuits, offer critiques and make contacts to broaden our world views and better or work and ourselves.

Male and female photographers are welcomed with warm arms. We encourage the sharing of thoughts, photographs and sensibilities. Any suggestions are welcomed as we become a resource for news and inspiration for photographers around the world.

This group is currently led by LisaMarie and Fredda Gordon of New York and Rachel Wolfe from Illinois. Please feel free to contact any of us via: femalefotographers@gmail.com

LisaMarie D. Castranuovo is a freelance photographer from New York. Her passion for photography began in high school. LisaMarie photographs to create an awareness and understanding of the mystery and beauty of life; all things that will be forgotten in time. Her goal is to capture what the soul sees before you. Sharing  her visions and  discoveries with photography is her greatest joy. In here work, LisaMarie hopes to inspire and encourage other people to look closer, to discover life and the world as we know it.
Fredda Gordon began her career in photography with a small point and shoot camera, developing her photos at the drug store. Later, with her SLR, she discovered the magic of developing her own black and white film. Fredda turned to digital in 2005 and the floodgates were opened. At this point, her graphic design work helped her understand relationships between images, words and graphic elements. Occasionally, Fredda implemented overlapping photos, to convey literal narratives. Pulling from life experiences, Fredda continues to deepen her relationship with the photographic medium to express herself and bring her artistic visions to fruition. www.freddaphotography.com

A lover of stories, science and philosophy. Rachel Wolfe is a life-taught photographer, writer and artist. Her work and wanderlust take her from remote areas to densely populated locations near and far. Exploring polarities, dualities and the inevitable juxtapositions brought about by her personal experiences of them begins to describe some of her personal work. Rachel exhibits photographs, performs poetry, spends endless hours with her film cameras in the woods. She is also available for commission, editorial and freelance work. www.rachelwolfe.com and rachelmwolfe.blogspot.com
